Our focus

Our focus

Our focus is on bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to urban Murris. We want these mob to take hold of the life that is truly life (1 Timothy 6:19).

Our aim

Our aim is to be theologically sound and culturally relevant. We hold to the theological beliefs of the Baptist Union of Queensland and will be creative in our expression as a community of God's people. We have been blessed and we want to be a blessing to others (Genesis 12:1-3).

Our core values

Our core values are a casual yet caring attitude with a flexible yet focused style. We are all about loving relationships - to God, other believers and those around us (Matthew 22:34-40).

Our goals

Our goals are to meet people's needs:

Spiritually by seeking, as individuals and a community, to actively participate in passionate prayer; regular reading (of God's word); overwhelming obedience and compassionate concern.

Emotionally by developing a supporting, loving and friendly atmosphere. We truly want to be a community, a community who share the hope of Christ and who show God's concern for all people in all situations.

Practically by understanding and assisting with social concern, community development and family support.

Our activities

Our activities include:

Our geographical location is Keperra, with a target including Mitchelton, Grovely, Arana Hills, Stafford, Everton Park and Ferny Grove.

Although focused on Indigenous we are open to all because we believe in reconciliation, not restriction. We want to be a vibrant, Christ-centred, faith-filled community as this is foundational for reaching others with the Gospel.

The Sunday Get-Together starts at 12:30pm with a meal. At about 1:30pm we have a time of yarning, singing and praying. At about 2:30pm we play some sporting or recreational activity (touch footy, cricket, basketball etc).
