Billy Williams

Billy is from the Kamilaroi people, having grown up in Collarenebri, NSW. He has also lived in the communities of Canberra , Townsville and now Brisbane. Billy and Vicki have three children, Geordie, Macey and Rory.
Billy came to faith in Jesus 6 years ago. He was not raised in a Christian family but had a dream one morning that he died. In the dream Billy awoke to find himself in what he could only describe as Hell (even though not raised as a Christian, Billy knew enough to realise were he was!). He panicked but realised he was dreaming, yet when he opened his eyes, he was still there. He told no-one, not even his wife, and a month later she came home from work to say that they were invited to the Townsville Baptist Church by a work mate. The very night they went to church they both gave their lives to Christ.
Billy's passion is to see people grasp that living for Jesus is a revolutionary not a religious life. He longs to see this invade Australia's Indigenous communities.
